THE ROCKS TOUR

At Walking Sydney we pride ourselves on offering the best cultural walking tour in Sydney as we take guests back in time so they can see how the great Aussie spirit was forged.

On ‘The Bloke & The Larrikin’ walking tour you’ll meet two characters:

  • Jack Delany is a Bloke (earthy and genuine working class man) from the 1930s during the Great Depression.
  • A Larrakin, a gang member from 1870s

Walk a mile with Jack Delany who tramped with the legions of men along the desperate Hungry Mile. Listen as he reveals forgotten truths about what people do when times get tough. Hear about the building of Sydney’s Harbour Bridge.

Larrikins are 1870s gang members, known for their quick wit, quick tempers and fast fingers! Safely traverse the ‘terrors of the Cut’ as we meet a flashy larrikin and find out what really happened when the Larrikins of the Push (a gang) extended their hospitality to the Bastard from the Bush.

This Sydney walking tour starts at Wynyard Park and takes you along the Hungry Mile, through Sydney's first and oldest neighbourhood -  Millers Point - and then to Argyle Place and 'The Cut'.

This historical walking tour also includes a tour of the cellar & tunnel at the heritage listed Hero of Waterloo Hotel. A complimentary drink is served at the end of the tour.

*Please note that tours may be rescheduled if there are not at least 6 people booked on a tour.
